Brooks, Alberta – October 30, 2024 – The Alberta Environmental Farm Plan (EFP) is proud to announce Rahr Malting Co.’s recent achievement of the Farm Sustainability Assessment (FSA) Gold Level, a recognition that underscores their commitment to sustainable practices in agriculture. Rahr Malting Co. was able to achieve this through use of the EFP+ Program, which allows Alberta producers to receive credit for both the FSA, under the international Sustainable Agriculture Initiative Platform, and the EFP workbook.
The FSA Gold Level is awarded to organizations that can demonstrate sustainable business practices in their supply chain considering sustainability standards of people, planet, and profit at the farm level. This achievement reflects the hard work and dedication of both organizations to promote sustainable farming practices while ensuring resiliency of Alberta’s agricultural industry.
